Thank you to the Mart community for making sure our staff is well fed in the days leading up to the start of school! We were treated to Mexican food at the Methodist Church on Wednesday, Baked Potato & Salad Bar at the Baptist Church on Thursday, and then breakfast casseroles of all sorts from the Methodist Church this morning! The days are long when you're getting ready to welcome students back and we really appreciate the delicious meals!

Don't forget that MISD Meet the Teacher is Monday, August 19th from 4:30-6:00. All Mart Elementary students must complete student registration before homeroom teachers are released. #PANTHERFamily,
The State Board of Nursing has clarified that nurses in any setting are restricted from administering medications without provider orders.
A parent permission note is not sufficient per the Texas State Board of Nursing to allow school nurses to administer medication to a student at school (prescription or over-the-counter medications).
Beginning this year, all medication that is administered at school must have a doctor's note. This includes over the counter medicines such as Ibuprofen or Tylenol. Parents can still bring medicine to their child when needed, but Mart ISD staff can no longer administer these medications without a doctor's order.
If you have any questions please don't hesitate to call or email your campus office.
