Mart ISD students Michael Paul Loftice, Thomas Smith, Alannah Holman, and Abby Cosper  were treated to  lunch by Mart ISD supporter, Mrs. Greta Watson, after their attendance at the 36th Annual Brazos Forum.  The forum is held each year in the Mayborn Museum Theater on the Baylor University Campus.  This year's topic was Enduring American Symbols.  The program featured : inside information about the White House, it's history, architectural restorations, furniture, art, and the like, the  history and protocol of Arlington National Cemetery and fascinating features of the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and its Sentinels, as well as information on the National Mall along with its many monuments and memorials.  Notable speakers were Matt Costello, Senior Historian for the White House Historical Association, Carolyn Muraskin, Graduate of the University of Maryland's School of Architecture, Buck Johnson, former Marine, professional tour guide and history buff, and David Smith, Sr. Lecturer in American History at Baylor University.
