Mrs. Stephanie Carter, beloved Mart High School teacher, started her 50th year with the district this week.  Mrs. Carter currently teaches advanced math and directs the district’s UIL Academics programs, though she has served in many capacities throughout her career.  Her most recent success was accompanying junior Codey Cardwell to the State UIL Competition in Austin last spring where he competed in the Number Sense contest.  Mrs. Carter is respected among students and staff alike.  She is often observed by new teachers as an example of excellence in instruction and classroom management.  The district celebrated Mrs. Carter’s first day of her 50th year on Monday.
