2019 Mart Homecoming

Greetings Mart Ex-Students!
Football season has started and plans are being made for the 2019 Homecoming weekend, which will officially kick off on Friday, October 18st . Please mark your calendars for the weekend of October 18st and make plans to attend this year’s activities. We hope to have especially large turnouts from all the classes who graduated from Mart High School!! This year we will be celebrating the “Classes” that end in nine (9).
Distinguished Alumnus Award
If you would like to nominate an Ex-Student for this award, please fill in the attached form and mail it back to the Ex-Students’ Association or email it. All nominations must be received by October 1, 2019 for consideration. And you have to be a current member in order to nominate. The award will be announced at the social at the Mart Community Center @6:00pm. The Award will be presented at the halftime.
Honorary Alumnus Award
If you would like to nominate an Ex-Student for this award, the process is the same. This award is given periodically to a person who exemplifies the Mart High School Spirit and contributes in an exemplary manner to the betterment of our school and community.

Parade and Pep Rally, Friday, October 18st, 3:30 p.m., Texas Avenue
Reception starting at 2:00 p.m. and ending at Parade Time at The Nancy Nail Library (located just one block from Texas Avenue at 124 South Pearl).
Annual parade will begin at 3:30 p.m. @ Incommons Bank on Texas Ave.
Pep Rally between First Baptist & First Methodist Churches
Football Game: Friday, October 18st, 7:30 p.m.

Pre-game festivities usually begin around 6:45

The Ex-Students’ officers would appreciate any additional donations to the scholarship fund. We were only able to give five this past year @$500 each, which was a lot less than last year, due to low funds. Please contact former classmates and friends and remind them to continue/ join the Ex-Students' Association. This monetary gift goes so far in helping young Mart graduates to continue their education. We all need to remember that Mart ISD is still an amazing place to be raised!! We too were once these young graduates with high hopes and dreams! Show your gratitude to your alma mater.
