Request for Proposals (RFP) for District Projects: Design-Build Agriculture Barn, Field House, Concession Stand, and Weight Room

Mart I.S.D. is soliciting proposals for qualifications from qualified persons or  companies to serve as Construction Manager-At-Risk for the construction, renovation, and design-build services of the following district projects: agriculture barn (remodel), field house (remodel) concession stand (remodel), and weight room (construction).

Qualified parties should provide written proposals to Mart ISD by 3:00 p.m., March 27, 2024. Information regarding the submission of proposals may be obtained by emailing to betsy.burnett@mymartisd.org,  at our website
www.martisd.org, or by calling 254-876-2523.  

Proposal envelopes should be plainly marked, Sealed Proposal - Do not open, “Mart ISD 2024 Projects”. Faxed proposals are not acceptable and will be disqualified.  Proposals not received by the specified date and time will not be accepted.  

Mart I.S.D. reserves the right to accept or reject any and/or all proposals.

PAST BOND ELECTIONS

May 2021 Bond Information

On May 1, 2021, Mart ISD voters approved a $20 million dollar bond proposal. This proposal was a no-tax increase proposal which promised voters that their I&S tax rate would stay the same. The bond proposal targeted new 313 projects in the area to provided the increased revenue. The district only purchases bonds each September according to projected values. Thus far, only Prairie Hill Windfarm is online. Roseland Solar should have values that are added to projections next September. Since the bond proposal, 3 other chapter 313 agreements have been proposed for the district. Once, and if, those projects are approved by the state comptroller and school board they will be added to revenue projections.

$12 MILLION AUTHORIZED

FOR THE ACQUISITION AND EQUIPMENT OF SCHOOL BUILDINGS IN THE DISTRICT (INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, THE REHABILITATION, RENOVATION, EXPANSION AND/OR IMPROVEMENT OF ELEMENTARY, MIDDLE AND HIGH SCHOOL BUILDINGS AND OTHER SCHOOL BUILDINGS IN THE DISTRICT, THE ACQUISITION AND UPDATE OF TECHNOLOGY EQUIPMENT TO BE USED FOR SCHOOL SECURITY PURPOSES, AND THE ACQUISITION AND UPDATE OF TECHNOLOGY INFRASTRUCTURE INTEGRAL TO THE CONSTRUCTION OF A FACILITY), THE PURCHASE OF THE NECESSARY SITES FOR SCHOOL BUILDINGS, AND THE PURCHASE OF SCHOOL BUSES.

FOR THE CONSTRUCTION, ACQUISITION, AND EQUIPMENT OF RECREATIONAL FACILITIES IN THE DISTRICT CONSISTING OF BASEBALL AND SOFTBALL FIELDS AND ATHLETIC TRAINING AND PRACTICE FACILITIES

November 2017 Bond Information

On November 7, 2017, Mart ISD voters approved a $9.2 million dollar bond proposal. This bond was proposed in order to build a new high school, including ag facilities, a gym, science labs, as well as increasing the number of classrooms in the existing elementary building. The district received a $4 million donation from the J.L. Davis family to begin construction. The remaining $9.2 million authorized by this bond proposal completed the projects.
